Hello!
Allow me to introduce myself. I am Melissa Träumerin, born and raised in Indiana. With a heart’s whispering that the Pacific Northwest was my home, I moved to Seattle in 2024.
I am licensed in both Indiana and Washington. I started working for the courts in Indiana, beginning as a Deputy Clerk for Probate and Estates in the early 2000s. I worked my way up to part-time Court Staff for the Probate & Guardianship court and worked for the court while in undergraduate at Franklin College.
When I entered law school, I returned and clerked for the same Judge, the Honorable Kevin M. Barton (pictured). And, again, after I graduated and passed the bar, I clerked one more time for the Judge. I even had the great honor of serving as temporary judge on a few Guardianship cases.
Although my law school studies were focused in Environmental Law, specifically a passion for the inspection of Water Law and Tribal Law, helping clients in the area of estate planning is a natural fit for me.
I enjoy helping my clients navigate and plan for the future. I also enjoy the process of guiding clients through the probate process.
Here in Seattle, I am grateful to work with my mentor, Attorney Marcia Mellinger. She has been very graciously sharing her wealth of knowledge from her decades of law practice.
I choose to work part-time as an attorney, because I also work part-time as a yoga, Pilates, and ballet-inspired barre instructor. I enjoy maintaining the balance of my two careers which maintains my own mental, physical, and emotional health.
In my free time, I enjoy dancing, nature, painting, reading, journaling, writing poetry, cooking, and exploring Seattle and the surrounding area by foot and public transit.
I look forward to getting to know you as we create a plan that works for you!
